Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: August 31, 2026
EmailFlow AI is a Bring Your Own Keys platform. You connect your own sending provider, AI provider, and email verification service. Because you control your own infrastructure, you bear full responsibility for how you use it. This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the basic rules that keep the platform lawful, secure, and available for everyone.
This AUP is part of, and incorporated into, our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms have the meanings given in the Terms. It applies to every account, every user under an account, and all use of the Service, including its AI features and APIs. We may update this AUP from time to time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the current version.
1. Lawful use
You may use EmailFlow AI for any lawful purpose. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service, including the content you create and the messages you send, complies with all laws and regulations that apply to you and your recipients. This includes, where applicable, the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act, Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), the EU and UK GDPR, ePrivacy rules, and equivalent laws in other jurisdictions.
You must not use the Service for any activity that is illegal under the laws that apply to you or your recipients.
2. Your infrastructure, your responsibility
Under the BYOK model, you connect your own sending server (such as Amazon SES), your own AI provider (such as OpenRouter), and your own email verification service. Because your messages travel through your own infrastructure:
- Your sending reputation, deliverability, bounce rates, and complaint rates are entirely your own. EmailFlow AI does not share sending infrastructure between customers.
- Your sending provider's acceptable use policies apply to your sending in addition to this AUP. If your provider suspends your account for policy violations, that is between you and your provider.
- AI-generated content produced using your own API key is your responsibility to review before sending.
3. Prohibited activities
You must not use the Service to:
- Send, host, or distribute malware, viruses, ransomware, phishing, spoofing, or other malicious or credential-harvesting material.
- Engage in any activity that exploits or endangers minors.
- Violate export-control, sanctions, or other trade laws applicable to you.
4. Platform integrity
You must not, and must not permit any third party to:
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or any related systems or networks.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or breach or circumvent any security or authentication measure.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service, including through denial-of-service attacks, excessive automated requests, or evasion of rate limits or quotas.
- Create accounts by automated means, or operate multiple accounts to evade limits or enforcement.
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation, or use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it.
5. Consequences of violations
If we determine that your use of the Service violates this AUP, we may, at our discretion and with or without notice, take any action we consider appropriate, including: issuing a warning, suspending some or all features, or terminating your account. We may also report unlawful activity to law enforcement or other authorities. Suspension or termination for an AUP violation does not entitle you to any refund, and you remain responsible for fees incurred.
6. Reporting abuse
If you believe any use of the Service violates this AUP, please report it to abuse@emailflow.ai with as much detail as possible. We take every report seriously and will investigate promptly.
